Instructions for Filing MA Employment and Wage Detail Report through QUEST

As an employer, you must electronically file your Employment and Wage Detail Report. This one-page summary can help guide you through the process.

Note: QUEST calculates the contribution based on employees’ reported wages. Your rates, credit, and deferred due amounts are stored by QUET, so it calculates your total contribution amount due. If the Total Payment Due calculated by MA GOV differs from the amount calculated by QUEST, contact MA GOV.

To Electronically file your Employment and Wage Detail Report:

1 Go to https://www.mass.gov/uima and log in to your MA QUEST account

2 Click Employment and Wage Detail Reporting in the left navigation

3 Click Submit Employment and Wage Detail

4 Enter information listed on the previous page Note: For owners and officers of your business, be sure to select YES from the owner/officer drop-down list'

5 Print Employment and Wage Detail Submission confirmation page and keep it for your records


If you have a balance due:

1 In the Employment and Wage Detail Submissions Confirmation selection, click Make Payment

2 - Enter the Payment Amount, your bank information, and the Payment Effective Date

3 - Click Next

4 - Verify the Payment Confirmation page, and keep it for your records
